Bursa Malaysia Berhad
With a history that stretches back almost 80 years, the Stock Market Malaysia began as the Bursa Malaysia Berhad in 1930. Its now considered a a key component of the global financial markets. During its first 7 years, the private Singapore Stockbrokers Association was the first organization in Malaysia sanctioned to trade securities in that country.
It was in 1960 that public exchanging of shares started to trade at the Malayan Stock Exchange. This was the predecessor of the current Malayan securities market. In 1964, the exchange was renamed the Stock Exchange of Malaysia.
