How Do These Work?
My dad is going in for back surgery in a few weeks, and he said they are going to use Operating Room and Interoperative Monitoring technologies in order to monitor what is going on in his surgery. How are these used during the surgery? What do they actually do with this technology? I am assuming you end up being hooked up to a bunch of wires, does this interfere in any way with the surgery? I assume the sensors help more than they hinder, they must have figured out how to place them so they are the least in the way as possible.
