There’s More Than Health Issues That are Related to Abusive Drinking
While in health class Sandra raised her hand and asked Mr. Jeffries, the teacher, if teenagers who drink in excess should be concerned about the alcohol long term effects of drinking on their health. Mr. Jeffries said that not only should teenagers be concerned about the negative effects of excessive drinking on their health but also the negative effects of abusive drinking on their relationships, on their jobs, on their finances, and in legal matters such as getting arrested for drunk driving. In short, Mr. Jeffries highlighted that fact that it was just a matter of time before irresponsible and hazardous drinking would make a significant impact on virtually every important component in a person’s life.
