Table Lamp Types

There are different types of table lamps. There’s the incandescent table lamp which was commercialized in 1920s. However, there are some countries that are gradually banning this type of table lamp because it is inefficient at converting electricity to light. The halogen table lamps on the other hand are much smaller than incandescent. Those designed with a 12V or 24V have compact filaments making the light output almost constant throughout life. Likewise, fluorescent table lamps are more efficient and save around ¼ to ½ power of an incandescent.  LED table lamps are known for its extremely long life while carbon arc table lamps which operate at high powers, yet ill suited to general lighting because carbon rods are short lived and requires constant adjustment. Finally, discharge table lamps are those often used in the film industry since it maintains a flicker free output.
