A picture is worth a thousand words

A long time ago, teachers of children and youth discovered a very useful teaching tool — pictures and photographs. These types of visual aids are not just useful in the classroom — as private Bible study tools they are also exceedingly important and useful. A Bible Atlas is one type of Bible study resource that typically contains a lot of photographs and illustrations — as well as Bible Encyclopedias and even some of the better Bible dictionaries. There are also books that deal with various periods of Bible history and geography that may have a large selection of photographs, charts and diagrams — the charts and diagrams, especially, can help to summarize an enormous amount of information and make it understandable to today’s Bible student.
