Turbines Are Modernized Windmills

Most of us have all seen a windmill or turbine at some point in our lives. Although we have a general idea of how a windmill might work some of us still might ask how does wind energy work? A turbine is a modernized windmill. It consists of the blades, a rotor, main shaft, tail, generator, and frame. The blades turn the rotor which spins the main shaft, the energy supplied is then transferred to the generator and converted into electricity. The tail is used to keep the blades turned into the wind so that the blades will continually turn and the base is what this whole system sits upon.
